The Duchess [Drama/Bio '08] ReviewThe sets, locations, & costume designs were "Blow me Down"
spectacular. Beyond the polished surface, the story tugged my emotions in several directions. Based on a biography of 18th century aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish, Keira Knightley gives a wonderful performance as the Duchess of Devonshire, along with Ralph Fiennes as the Duke. I thought this movie had a much more complex emotional content than the usual period piece. The triangle between the duke, the duchess, and her best friend was enough to savage anyone. However, in the end, it was only part of this woman's search for love & authenticity in relationships of every kind. The story has components of hidden passion, political intrigue, and we also learn that "Earl Grey" is more than a cup of tea. ![]() Click here to watch it: http://freemovieschoice.com/the-duchess-2008-t2724.html
